Selected work

A closer look at the work.

Selected projects across software engineering, applied AI, and connected systems—with a clear view of my contribution.

Engineering strengths

Four things I'm consistently trusted with

Selected technologies rather than a keyword wall, each tied to where I've actually used it.

  • 01

    Full-stack applications and integrations

Building and connecting product surfaces end to end: React and TypeScript front ends, Node and Spring Boot services, REST and GraphQL APIs, payment and CRM integrations.

    React · TypeScript · Node.js · Spring Boot · REST · GraphQL · PostgreSQL

Applied at Genoa Design International, The VAM Group, Praella, and HulkApps.

  • 02

    Applied AI and data

Preparing datasets, training and comparing models, and judging evaluation results honestly — including deployment to edge hardware.

Python · PyTorch · TensorFlow · Keras · Pandas · Jetson Orin Nano

Applied in the transmission tower inspection, pneumonia detection, and image captioning projects.

  • 03

    Quality, reliability, and secure development

Functional, regression, API, and integration testing; defect reproduction and root-cause analysis; authentication and secure-practice fundamentals.

Test case design · Root cause analysis · API testing · OAuth · JWT · TLS

Applied as a QA Intern at NetBenefit Software and in production troubleshooting across agency work.

  • 04

    IoT and cloud-connected systems

Sensor integration, embedded devices, and data pipelines feeding cloud services and real-time monitoring interfaces.

    ESP32 · Raspberry Pi · AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) · Google Cloud · Sensor pipelines

Applied as the architecture behind GrowGrid NL.

Professional experience

Five years across products, platforms, and production

Some roles overlap: part-time and remote engagements ran alongside full-time work and graduate study, and are labelled accordingly.

    GrowGrid NL · St. John's, NLSelf-employed

Leading an IoT-enabled smart hydroponics platform that combines embedded sensing, cloud services, and web interfaces in one product.

    • Designed the end-to-end software and data architecture: backend services, REST APIs, sensor-data pipelines, monitoring workflows, and user-facing interfaces.
    • Secured $5,000 in project funding through the NL Eats Food Forward Innovation Challenge and presented the platform through Memorial University entrepreneurship programs.
    • Built technical demonstrations and workshop material to explain IoT, sensors, and automation to audiences with mixed technical backgrounds.
  2. Jun 2026 – Sep 2026

    Quality Assurance Intern

NetBenefit Software · St. John's, NLGraduate internship

Evaluated application functionality against business requirements and release criteria across multiple product modules.

    • Performed functional, regression, API, integration, and workflow testing to assess reliability, usability, and production readiness.
    • Investigated production issues through defect reproduction, root-cause analysis, and evidence gathering, then validated fixes with developers.
    • Documented defects, test findings, and recommended actions to support traceability and release decisions.
  3. Sep 2025 – May 2026

About Me

How I work, and what I'm drawn to

Most of my work sits between systems: an interface that needs a service, a service that needs clean data, a device that needs both. Across 150+ projects and agencies, startups, tech firms, and freelance work, I've spent as much time tracing integrations as writing features. I've worked with South Asian, European, American, Canadian, and Middle Eastern teams, and spent 2+ years working with local companies in Newfoundland and Labrador.
